Orlando For-Profit Schools
The names that for-profit schools take for themselves are similar to non-profit schools. But don't be deceived. They are very different institutions. Ordinary non-profit schools were often originally founded to train clergy. Others, like Stanford, were founded by wealthy philanthropists. And still others were founded by concerned communities or states to provide them with educated citizens. Contact Us »
Most for-profit schools and colleges are well-meaning institutions that provide students with valuable skills and credentials. But bear in mind, their reason for existence is...profit.

Central Florida For-Profit School Fraud
Countless thousands of students have paid large sums for an educational experience that is not what they were told, and that does not serve them well. They frequently pay using student loans, which they must pay back.
Also concerned are the loan providers who are not paid back because the students do not find employment. The federal government is among these loan providers.
Actual fraud is committed when for-profit schools invent fictitious students, getting loans on their behalf, which will never be repaid.
If you have been misled by a for-profit school in regard to:
Accreditation fraud
Licensure you gained or were supposed to obtain
Total cost
The extracurricular experience
The amount you will be/are in debt

Seen their children suffer due to school bullying or some other situation at school that you believe is unjust and may merit legal action
The federal government has an interest in an educated public. So, it has a loan-guarantee program to help students fund their education. Unfortunately, certain for-profit schools have recruited students with false promises of the benefits of their programs. The students can't repay the loans, usually because they can't find jobs, and now the government has to repay them.
The federal False Claims Act (FCA) allows individuals to report student-aid fraud that costs the government money, and participate in the compensation awarded or obtained in settlement. If you have borrowed money to go to school through a government-guaranteed loan program only to learn that the school has made totally false promises, you may be able to sue the school.
Those who defraud the U.S. Government face severe sanctions under the FCA. Sometimes the government participates in the qui tam lawsuit and sometimes it does not. But the entity that is sued may be liable for three times the amount for which they have defrauded the government. Contact Us »
